Hazardous Maintenance

The steadily improving course conditions are the cumulative effect of warmer weather and a hard working staff.  We are very proud to present a course that continues to improve as the season progresses.  As players, we can all do our part to assist the maintenance staff in their efforts.  An all too common occurrence is pictured on the right—footprints leading through a freshly raked bunker.  Did you know that from a maintenance perspective, the labor devoted to maintaining our bunkers comes in second only to the labor required to maintain our putting greens?  While regular edging, weed removal, and sand distribution contribute to this, raking the bunkers requires the most time.  Each time the bunkers are raked, a total of twelve man hours needed.  We ask that all players rake their footprints as they play their round.  In doing so, the maintenance staff can focus their attention to improving other areas on the course.  Thanks for your cooperation.
