Golf course maintenance team members have completed the renovation of the greenside bunker on #3. Over time
the condition of the bunker had deteriorated. Since this is the only bunker on this green complex, the inferior quality of the bunker was very noticeable. As evidenced by the photos above, the quality of the turf on the grass face had significantly decline and the nose of the bunker had been cut off after years of edging and raking. Staff members have done a great job by returning the bunker to its original kidney shape and size. All turf and sand was removed from the bunker and new sand and sod was installed. Until the sod knits to the soild, please play the entire bunker, including sand, as ground under repair. The new sand has been compacted, but still remains very soft. Expect some poor lies until the sand has a chance to settle. Over time the sand will become more firm.
